Anniversary Card for #GDP290 with Two Techiques

 Hello and thx for visiting!

Today I have a super fun card for you featuring two awesome techniques!  Last week I started learning the Stampin' Blends Markers with Rubbing Alcohol Technique and it's carrying over into this week, that's how much I'm loving it!  Today's card is for a very Special Anniversary  and I was inspired and by the Global Design Project #290 Sketch.  Please click on either my card or the GDP image to go directly to their blog post.  I hope my card inspires you to give either one of these techniques a try.  I will be showing how to create the Blends with Rubbing Alcohol background on my Wednesday at 1 Facebook Live here, Lesley's StampinTrix FB Page   Please pop over and join me:)

And here's the card details:  Please click here, Lesley Seabrook's Stampin' Up Online Store to purchase the supplies.

4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Blackberry Bliss Cardstock (CS)   (4 1/4 x 8 1/2 folded in half)

4 1/8 x 5 3/8 Vellum Cardstock

4 1/8 x 5 3/8 Basic White Cardstock

4 1/8 x 5 3/8 inch of an Adhesive Sheet

Stampin' Blends Markers: Fresh Freesia; Highland Heather & Rich Razzleberry or colours of choice.

99% Rubbing Alcohol & Water Painter

Color & Contour stamp set (available May 4, 2021)

Many Messages stamp set

Gilded Leafing; Heat & Stick Powder and Heat Tool

Assembly & Trix:

*  Create the background on Vellum using Stampin' Blends Markers as above.  Use a Waterpainter with Rubbing Alcohol and set aside to dry.  Please visit my Lesley's StampinTrix FB Page  Wednesday May 5 at 1 to learn the technique.

*  Adhere an adhesive sheet to the Vellum and then adhere the Vellum to the Basic White Cardstock.  ***Trix, Because the Vellum is opaque, glue and Stampin' Seal will show through.  Sometimes I adhere glue to the back of the vellum where the sentiment label is, however then the Vellum hangs kind of loose on the rest of the card.  This time I wanted the entire front of the card to be vellum and glued flat to the card base, so I chose to use the adhesive sheet because you can cut it to cover the Vellum and there will be no glue marks showing through.

*  Stamp the flower image on the vellum with VersaMark ink and cover with Heat & Stick Powder.  ***Trix,  Heat the Heat & Stick Powder to just melting, so it's sticky but not burnt.  Apply the Gilded Leafing and let sit to adhere.

*  Using a dry paint brush remove the Gilded Leafing that is not stuck to the image.  Truly this is so cool and beautiful, as you're brushing away the leafing, the image just appears and seems to pop off the card.

*  Stamp the sentiment with Blackberry Bliss ink and adhere it to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

*  Adhere the Vellum CS layer to the Blackberry Bliss card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Enjoy, I hope I've inspired you to push your creativity a bit farther and try a new technique!  Have a super day!
