Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

First day crafting with the new pup!  It's taken me all day, but I've made a card - finally :)  Please meet our newest family member, her picture is at the bottom of this post.

Today's card is inspired by 3 challenges.  Click on the names to visit the blogs.  The Theme Challenge  at Global Design Project #339  - Flowers, the Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge #387 & the Technique/Product Challenge at #tgifc364  Please click on the hyperlinks to visit their blog posts and enjoy all the inspiration you will find!

The Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks, #158142 are from the January to June Mini Catalogue.  They're not carrying over into the new Annual Catalogue but rest assured Stampin' Up!® is bringing us some new ones to play with in the Annual Catalogue coming May 3rd.  The bottom flower has a unique pattern because I layered Pacific Point on Pacific Point with two different patterns.  Enjoy these masks, they're very versatile!

Hand Stamped Sentiments offers us Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay & Pacific Point to work with.  The lightest Coastal Cabana didn't show as much as I hoped so I've added the Coastal Cabana Rhinestone Jewels from the Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels pack, #159396 (available while supplies last), to bring the colour out a bit more.

Free As A Bird for #PP586 & # GDP338

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by The Paper Players Colour Challenge #586 and the Sketch Challenge from Global Design Project #338.  Please click on their images to visit their blog post and enjoy the inspiration - then go make a card and express your creativity! :)

Assembly & Trix:

*  The Free As A Bird Stamp Set, #149468 is retiring, it's one of my fav's!

*  The ***Trix, with this card is to use your Stamparatus™ to create the mirror image.  Stamp directly on the Silicone Craft Sheet, #127853, lay the paper on top to pick up the image.  Then flip it over and stamp a second image so it looks like the birds are chatting.

*  Here near the Niagara Escarpment we watch migrating birds at this time of year, and my goal with the colouring was to create a 'House Finch' &  a 'Gold Finch'.

*  The birds were coloured with  Stampin' Blends Markers in Daffodil Delight & Polished Pink, I coloured over the Polished Pink slightly with Gray Granite to soften the brightness a bit, the neutral from the challenge.

*  The Coastal Cabana was blended on with Blending Brushes.  A bit of Twine around the Polished Pink sentiment and we're done.  Fun Technique, Simple card :)

Abstract Beauty DSP & Happy & Heartfelt Stamp Set for #tgifc363

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by the TGIF Sketch Challenge #363 and crafting with a friend!  Please click on the image below to visit the #tgifc363 blog post and soak in the inspiration.

Stampin' Up!® products coordinate beautifully together so pull out the old and add to the new and 'Mix It Up'  This card is a a mix of retiring items, a past Sale - A- Bration stamp set (found while crafting with a friend) and one ribbon that is carrying over to the new Annual Catalogue.

Assembly & Trix:

*  The only ***Trix with this card is to layer it up.  It's a wedding card, so I wanted to add lace and shimmer ribbons but really everything started with the fabulous, retiring, Abstract Beauty Specialty DSP, #158039

*  The cake is coloured with Petal Pink & Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends Markers after stamping with Memento Black Ink.  The cake is fussy cut and adhered to a vellum Ornate Layers Die, #152726 also retiring!

*  The sentiment comes from the retiring Happy & Heartfelt Stamp Set, #158005 and coordinates beautifully with the line details on the cake from the Happy Birthday To You Stamp set, #152308.  This is a past Sale - A -Bration stamp set from a few years back.

*  The Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim, #149593 is retiring but the Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon, #152436 is the one item that will be carrying over into the New Annual Catalogue.

Easter Friends for #GDP337 & #FMS530

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card was inspired by two challenges, the Global Design Project Color Challenge #337 and Jen's Sketch from Freshly Made Sketch #530.  Please click on their images to visit the blog posts and enjoy the inspiration!

Assembly & Trix:

*  This card is a mix of retiring and current products, but there's really no *Trix except that I stamped the little chick with So Saffron ink then coloured her with a sponge dauber, ever so carefully, using sticky notes to hold near the edge of the image so I didn't over colour onto the white, this chick is small :)

*  Easter Friends, #157737 is retiring but the sentiment is from Art Gallery stamp set, #154421 is not.  The first layer of Soft Sea Foam is embossed with the Stitched Greenery Die, #155451, it's still with us.  However the gorgeous Ornate Layers Dies, #152726 is retiring, so I had to double them up and build the layers for fun while we have 'em :)

* The little flowers are die cut from the Bouquet Of Love Dies, #157641, using Basic White, then I blended Brushing Bride onto the die cut piece for a variation in depth of colour.  So I guess that's a 2nd ***Trix  :)   The Blushing Bride Ribbon, has retired, I'm sorry, it was in the July - December 2021 Mini Catalogue, so keep your eyes on the Clearance Rack you never know when it might pop back up.  Oh, and the Adhesive Backed Hexagons, #155148 are Blushing Bride too!

***  Click here to shop and please remember to use the monthly Host Code when your order is between $60 - $135 and then I can send you a little thank you in the mail the following month with your thank you card.  April Host Code NS7XFD2R

Retro Happy Birthday for the Retro Rubber Groovy Baby Challenge

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by the Retro Rubber - Groovy Baby Challenge #179.  Please click on either my card or the #rrcb179 image to visit their blog.  The Retro Rubber Challenge encourages us to give our old stamps some love and this challenge is to be inspired by the 60's.  I hope my card inspires you to create a card, either with an old fav or a current stamp - just get stamping, have fun and make it Groovy Baby!

Click my card to visit #rrcb179 challenge

Assembly & Trix

*  The card layout is inspired by Mary's Stampin' Pretty tutorial.  Please click here to see the Step-By-Step Tutorial on her website.

*  The brightly coloured background was created with the little flower burst from Baroque Motifs 2007 stamp set using Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape & (retiring) Magenta Madness.

*  The 'Happy Birthday' wood mount stamp is called Stylized Birthday from Stampin' Up!®, I'm not sure the age of it, any guesses?

* I changed up the ribbon detail to use the wider Magenta Madness because I thought the loop flowed with the loops on the font.  ***Trix, tie the ribbon loop with twine, and then adhere to the back of the fussy cut Happy Birthday before adhering to the die cut circle.   It helps to keep it flowy - is that word? :)

*  The current products I used are the  'From All Of Us' sentiment from the Party Puffins stamp set, #155054 & the Layering Circles dies, #151770.

***  Click here to shop for the current supplies,  have fun mixing it up and adding in a favourite Happy Birthday stamp set from your collection.
