Catching Butterflies Stamp Set with Bouquet of Love Embossing Folder & Dies

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

The inspiration for today's card is two fold.  Stampin' Through The Catalog is featuring 'Catching Butterflies' (a free Sale-a-bration stamp set with a $60 order) as their Tuesday Stamp Set.  I combined it with my favourite Bouquet of Love 3D Embossing Folder and coordinating Dies.  The card layout is inspired by a sketch from Mary Fish at Stampin' Pretty, click here to visit the Stampin' Pretty website.

Artfully Composed for #FMS519 & #JAI587

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Well my friends, today's card is one of those cards :)    Have you ever finished a card and it doesn't look quite like you imagined it would?  Well that was this card for me today  :)  I love the look of the Artfully Composed Suite, I was drawn to it, maybe because I want to push my creativity a bit with the big bold shapes.  I hope my card inspires you to create and play with colour and shape.

Today's card is created for two challenges.  The Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #519 - a beautifully simple sketch from Jen T  - and - the Just Add Ink Challenge #JAI597 - 'Choose Two'  Let me break it down for you.  #FMS519 has offered the sketch, #JAI587 has offered the elements, I've chosen to use Twine and a Fancy Edge to my card.  Please click on the images from #FMS519 & #JAI587 to visit their blog posts, and soak in the inspiration!

*  Die cut the leaf images with the adhesive, and adhere the colours together as shown.  ***Trix, I used adhesive on the top layer of each die cut, but used glue to adhere the dies to the Petal Pink CS layer.

*   Trim the excess of the die cuts from the Petal Pink layer and adhere to the Basic Black layer with glue.  Then adhere to the card base with glue.

*  Heat emboss the sentiment and adhere Basic Black Twine to the back of the sentiment with Stampin' Seal.  Adhere the sentiment to the card base with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals and embellish with Black Matte Dots.

Sweet Talk DSP & Create With Friends Stamp Set

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card was made to go along with these sweet little boxes from the Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper.  They'll be filled with valentine chocolates soon!  I learned to make these little boxes from Pootles, click here to visit her website.

The card uses the Create With Friends Stamp Set, it's stamped with Real Red ink and fussy cut out.  I used the Bouquet of Love 3D Embossing Folder to emboss on the patterned paper.  It's difficult to see in this picture but there's a lovely subtle texture on the paper.  The Bouquet of Love Embossing Folder has a matching die Item #157641 in the  January - June Mini Catalogue.  Click here to see the details of this emboss and die combo.

To create the little boxes start with a piece of DSP measuring 4 x 10 1/2.    Score along the 10 1/2 inch side at 2 1/2; 5; 7 1/2 & 10.  Score along the 4 inch side at 1 1/2 to create the bottom of the box and secure with Stampin' Seal.  The box is held closed at the top with a Real Red Ribbon.  I hope to do a little short video or reel in the next couple of days to show how simple it is to create these little boxes - the 'Trix' is to ensure the pattern of the paper is oriented correctly - so stay tuned.  Click here to see the Sweet Talk Designer Series paper Item #157616 in my online store.

*** Click here to shop the January - June Mini Catalogue for all the new products.

*** Please remember to use the monthly Host Code when your shopping cart is greater than $60.  Then I can send you a little thank you in the mail with your card the following month.  January's Host Code is VWEZDEJ4
