Lights Aglow Suite for #gdp365

Today's card is inspired by the colour challenge over @ Global Design Project.  Use Soft Succulent, Sweet Sorbet & Petal Pink, neat combo eh!  Please click on the hyperlink to visit their blog.

The time of year has inspired this Book Fold card, every year round about now, my Grandma would haul out all her recipe books and begin to plan her Christmas baking and candy making.  She created trays of goodies for friends, and of course our family dinner.  Her Rum Balls and Shortbread we're the best I've ever had. 

Assembly & Trix,

*  Begin with a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of Thick Basic White cardstock & score at 5 1/2 & 6 3/4, to create a 1 1/4 section.  Burnish the fold lines.  

***Trix, create the spine of the book by adhering the front 1 1/4 section to the back of the card with Stampin' Seal.  This creates a 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 flap, ***see the pic below.  Then adhere a 1 x 4 piece of Lights Aglow Specialty 6x6 DSP, #159535. 

*  On a piece of 4 x 4 Basic White cardstock, stamp the sentiment from the Brightest Glow stamp set, #159542 with Soft Succulent ink and the candy from the Nothings Better Than stamp set, #158295 with Memento Black ink.  Colour with Sweet Sorbet & Petal Pink Stampin' Blends Markers.

*  Die cut the circle with the Labels Aglow Dies, #159551.  Adhere to a piece of soft Succulent cardstock a smidge smaller,  ***Trix, the idea is to have the colour peeking through the holes of the die cut only, without any Soft Succulent cardstock showing on the edges.  Embellish with 2021 - 2023 In Color™ Jewels.
