Whiskey Business 10 Minute Card

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is a quick 10 minute birthday card.  Sometimes, I just don't have the perfect card for an occasion, or the person.  This is how the Whiskey Business card came to be.  We were invited to join a birthday celebration and I had just returned home from VA, so I sat down and quickly created this card.  I hope it inspires you to try and create a simple card quickly.  Give it a try, just pull out a stamp set, minimal colours and create - you may be very pleasantly surprised with the results.  Stampin'' Up!® artwork is fabulous, make it the star.

  

And here's the card details:

4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Cinnamon Cider card base   (4 1/4 x 11 folded in half landscape orientation)

4 x 5 1/4 Cinnamon Cider cardstock (CS) layer

2 x 5 1/4 Basic White CS layer

1/2 x 3 Basic White CS for sentiment

Cinnamon Cider Ink

Sponge Daubers

Assembly & Trix:

*  Emboss the 4 x 5 1/4 Cinnamon Cider CS layer with the Embossing folder and adhere using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (glue)

*  Stamp the whiskey glasses randomly across the Basic White layer using Cinnamon Cider ink.  ***Trix, don't think about this too much, just stamp, think glasses clinking together kind of vibe :)

*  Add Cinnamon Cider ink to the inside of the glass using sponge daubers.  ***Trix, dab the ink pad, dab off on scrap paper, then dab the ink on the ice cubes in the glass, simple.  Again don't think about it too much, just add colour  :)

*  Stamp the sentiment with Cinnamon Cider ink and adhere to stamped layer using Stampin' Dimensionals.

*  Adhere the Be Dazzling strip of paper to the Basic White layer with glue or Stampin' Seal +

*  Adhere the Basic White layer to the card with glue.

You're A Peach DSP for Sketch #500 at FMS

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card was inspired by a couple of things.  First the beautifully simply sketch from Linda Callahan at Freshly Made Sketches.  This sketch is super special because its # 500 - yes you read that correct - the Freshly Made Sketches design team has been providing inspiration for Ten Years!  Congratulations!   

Second, it's peach season here in Niagara Ontario Canada.  This easy layered card is terrific to make in multiples - humm say when giving away jars of peach jam ;)

As you may already know I'm a paper gal, I love all Designer Series Paper!  I don't even  own the Sweet As A Peach stamp set, but I have the paper - ha.  This sketch lends itself very well to using a little bit of DSP and pulling the coordinating colours from the paper to create a card.   I hope my card inspires you to choose a favourite piece of DSP and create a super simple card with layers.

4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Calypso Coral card base  (4 1/4 x 11 folded in half portrait orientation)

3 5/8 x 4 7/8 Basic White cardstock (CS) layer

4 13/16 x 3 9/16 Mango Melody layer  ***Trix, the 16th of an inch measurements are simply a smidge smaller than the 5/8 and 7/8 Basic White layer above.  I really like a tiny little border.  Measure to the 5/8 of an inch mark and then slide the paper back to the 16th inch mark just before it on the paper trimmer, repeat for the 7/8 inch mark.

2 x 11/16 piece of You're a Peach DSP

1/2 x 2 3/8 Basic White piece for sentiment

Lovely You stamp set

Calypso Coral ink

Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon

Artistry Blooms Adhesive Backed Sequins

Assembly & Trix:

*  Adhere the Mango Melody layer to the Basic White CS layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (glue)

*  Adhere the DSP to the Mango Melody layer with glue.

*  Tie a ribbon around the card and make a bow just above where the sentiment layer will be.

*  Adhere the layer to the card base with glue.

*  Stamp the sentiment with Calypso Coral ink and adhere below the ribbon with Stampin' Dimensionals.

*  Adhere the Artistry Blooms Sequins, they're adhesive backed, easy peasy :)

******A super clean and simple card, change the DSP, cardstock colour, sentiment and embellishments and you'll have am entirely different card!  Thx again Linda for the terrific sketch and congrats to the design team on this milestone achievement!

Love It Chop It with Peaceful Prints

Today's card is a super fun "Love It Chop It" style of design.  If you love the paper, chop it up and use it.  Simply, quickly and easily create a handmade card with Designer Series Paper, (DSP).  The Stampin' UP® DSP is called Peaceful Prints and is available *free with a $60 order until September 30th 2021.

***I love to mix and match my sentiments and dies.  Choose whichever sentiment you love to create your cards.  Stampin' Up!® has fantastic product coordination, you can switch up in interchange your products as you wish :) 

Assembly & Trix:

*  Adhere the Real Red Plaid DSP layer to the bottom of the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, (glue).  Ensure the DSP is 1/4 of an inch from the bottom of the card.  

*  Adhere the reindeer DSP to the Basic Black layer using glue, leaving 1/4 of an inch from the top of the card.

*  Stamp the sentiment on the scrap paper using Memento Black Ink.

*  Die cut the sentiment using the Seasonal Labels Dies.

*  Adhere the sentiment using Stampin' Dimensionals.

*  Tie a bow using the Real Red Sheer Ribbon and attach to the sentiment layer using a glue dot.  And stop the press!!! this sheer ribbon ties gorgeous bows - love it! 

Yep, that's it my friends!  Love It Chop It!  And there's no "Trix" with this card - honestly it is super simple and easy to create - Enjoy!

Whimsy & Wonder for the Party

We had so much fun creating together yesterday at the Mini Catalogue Event.  Each time a new Catalogue is released I like to have a customer appreciation event to give my customers an opportunity to play with some new goodies.  This is just one of the cards we made.
