Positive Thoughts & Many Messages for Fab Friday #216

Hello and thanks for visiting! 

Today's card is inspired by the Fab Friday Challenge #216.  I love these colours! Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, So Saffron and Fresh Freesia.  Please click on either my card or the Fab Friday image to go directly to their blog post and soak in the inspiration!  Give it a try, these fabulous colours just say summer flowers to me.

I hope this card will inspire you to create a simple card with colours you love.  I used the  In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (DSP) there are so many subtle woodgrain papers in this DSP pack.  I find I'm always able to find a terrific background to enhance a variety of images using different colour palettes.

4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Soft Suede card base ( 4 1/4 x 11 folded in half, landscape orientation)

Scrap piece of Basic White for the sentiment.

Positive Thoughts stamp set and Nature's Thoughts Dies (coordinating dies)

Many Messages stamp set

Ink Pads: Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, So Saffron, Fresh Freesia, Soft Suede

Assembly & Trix:

*  Die cut the rectangle from the light wood grain paper pattern using the Nature's Thoughts die.

*  Adhere the remaining woodgrain paper to the card based using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (glue)

*  Adhere the die cut rectangle shape using dimensionals.   ***Trix, this simple trick of cutting out a centre section of the DSP and then using Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the die cut image gives a simple layout immediate interest.

*  Stamp the flower form the Positive Thoughts stamp set in each of the Fab Friday Challenge colours and die cut using the matching dies.

*  Adhere the flowers to the card using glue. 

*  Stamp a long sentiment from the Many Messages stamp set with Soft Suede ink and fussy cut out.

*  Adhere the sentiment piece using dimensionals.  ***Trix, I doubled up on Mini Stampin' Dimensionals for this sentiment strip.  I really wanted it to pop off the card.

*  Embellish with Champagne Rhinestone  Basic Jewels.

Blushing Bride Card base 4 1/4 x 5 1/2

Basic Black cardstock (CS) layer 3 7/7 x 5 1/8

Basic White CS layer  3 3/4 x 5

Pattern Party DSP 1 1/2 x 5

The Party Puffin is stamped with Memento Black ink and coloured with Stampin' Blends Markers in Petal Pink and Calypso Coral

The sentiment is heat embossed and fussy cut out.

The embellishments are  Genial Gems.
